The Roadhouse Over Sells The Garden State Film Festival – First Film To Sell Out The Berkeley In Festival History.

Someone once told me that if you find people you are comfortable working with and like their style, try and stick with them and work together. That advice has stuck with me for years, but I didn’t realize it’s meaning until I started working with Lightning Films. Not long after the initial filming of Repetition of Change, I was approached by Nick Pavano (writer/director, Repetition of Change, The Roadhouse).

He expressed interest in a 10 minute short, titled “Final Days”, written by Roy La Manna. He believed it had the potential to be a much bigger and more elaborate project. Soon after he gained the rights to re-create the story, I was cast as the lead, Joe Nuzzo, in what is now known as The Roadhouse. Soon after I signed on, the hunt began for a talented actress to play my wife, Michelle Nuzzo. Dozens of girls auditioned, coming from all over NJ and NY, but one stood out the most…Monica Knight (Salento Fear Fest’s Best Actress, 2007).

As the story grew, so did the cast. In early April, actors Vinny Vella (Casino, The Sopranos) and Perry Facchiano (OZ, Find Me Guilty) signed on to the project. The film has now reached a point where none of predicted we’d be in such little time. The Roadhouse is moving at full throttle and promises to deliver a unique film experience, divulging deep into the lives of the two main characters in a way never before done by an independent film……… Together we bring you The Roadhouse..
